Max William Schrock is a second baseman in Major League Baseball for the Cincinnati Reds. He was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball.



In Raleigh, North Carolina, Schrock attended Cardinal Gibbons High School. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected him in the 28th round of the 2012 MLB draft.

did not sign with the Diamondbacks and instead played collegiate baseball at the University of South Carolina.



He played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Cotuit Kettleers in 2013.

He was taken in the 13th round of the 2015 MLB draft and signed with the Washington Nationals after his junior year.


Schrock debuted professionally in 2015 with the Auburn Doubledays, where he lasted the entire season, batting .308 with two home runs and 14 RBIs in 46 games.

In June, he was promoted to the Potomac Nationals after starting the year with the Hagerstown Suns.

The Nationals traded Schrock to the Oakland Athletics for Marc Rzepczynski on August 25. Before being promoted to the Midland RockHounds, Oakland assigned him to the Stockton Ports.

In 2016, Shrock hit .331 with nine home runs, 71 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases amongst the four teams. He spent the 2017 season with Midland, hitting .321 with seven home runs and 46 RBIs in 106 games.
