Max Schrock

Max William Schrock is a Major League Baseball second baseman with the Cincinnati Reds in the United States. He previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, Schrock attended Cardinal Gibbons High School. He was selected in the 28th round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He did not sign with the Diamondbacks and instead attended the University of South Carolina, where he played collegiate baseball.

He played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Cotuit Kettleers in 2013.

He was taken in the 13th round of the 2015 MLB draft and signed with the Washington Nationals after his junior year.

Schrock debuted professionally in 2015 with the Auburn Doubledays, where he lasted the entire season, batting.308 with two home runs and 14 RBIs in 46 games.

In June, he was promoted to the Potomac Nationals after starting the year with the Hagerstown Suns.
