Born on May 26, 1999, Parsons. Parsons earned recognition as a Consensus All-American and the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year award at Penn State, where he played collegiate football.
He was also recognized as the Cotton Bowl’s Most Valuable Player on the Defensive Side of the Ball in 2019 as a sophomore.

He finished his senior year with 1,239 yards rushing, 27 rushing touchdowns, 99 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns, which tied for seventh in the state.
He was ninth in the state for rushing yards. On December 19, it was revealed that Ohio State University had broken NCAA regulations by allowing him to snap a photo with analyst Kirk Herbstreit on the College GameDay set.

His primary position was a middle linebacker, and he started each of the 13 games. He finished with a total of 109 tackles, 14 of which were for losses, five sacks, 26 quarterback hurries, five passes deflected and four forced fumbles.
