Michael A. Taylor Parents: Meet Anthony Taylor and Lula Taylor

Michael A. Taylor is an American professional baseball center fielder for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB).



The Washington Nationals selected Taylor in the sixth round (172nd overall) of the 2009 MLB draft, and he made his MLB debut in 2014. He played for the Nationals for eight great seasons after his draft.

He turned down a scholarship offer from the University of North Florida to join the Nationals.



Taylor did not make his minor league debut in 2009, but he was a valuable infielder for the Gulf Coast League Nationals in 2010, making 21 errors while playing shortstop, second base, and third base.

He batted in 38 games for a total of. With one home run, he has a batting average of 195. When Steven Souza was placed on the 15-day injured list, the Nationals brought up Taylor.

Taylor made his Major League debut in Citi Field against the New York Mets, recording his first major league hit, a single-off pitcher Rafael Montero.
