For the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, Michael Deiter plays center in American football. On September 3, 1996, he was born in Curtice, Ohio in the United States. He played high school football while attending Genoa Area High School in Genoa, Ohio. He was chosen as an offensive and defensive lineman for the Northern Buckeye Conference’s All-Conference team in 2012 during his junior season.

He received first-team All-Ohio honors for offensive line during his senior year and was named Northern Buckeye Conference Lineman of the Year. He was also named Associated Press District IV Lineman of the Year and Great Lakes Region Lineman of the Year. After graduating from high school, he played collegiate football for the University of Wisconsin-Wisconsin Madison’s Badgers squad. At Wisconsin, he redshirted his freshman year. He received his first letter in 2015 as a Redshirt Freshman, starting all 13 games, including seven at left guard and six at center, including the final five games of the season.

For his 4-yard rushing touchdown against Illinois, SB Nation called him a front-runner for the annual “Piesman” Trophy, which is given to a college lineman acting “decidedly un-linemanlike.” He was recognized as an AP second team pre-season All American prior to the 2018 campaign. The Miami Dolphins selected Deiter in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He started at center for the Dolphins when the 2021 season began.
