Michael McRae King is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball. King was born on May 25, 1995, in the United States (MLB).
He made his MLB debut in 2019. King received his secondary education in Warwick, Rhode Island, at Bishop Hendricken High School.
As a junior in high school, he was a member of the school’s baseball team, where he contributed as both a pitcher and an outfielder. In 2012, the year he was a junior, the squad won the Division I state title.
After pitching 47 innings for Rhode Island, he had 67 strikeouts and only seven walks, which led to him being awarded the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for the state of Rhode Island in 2013.
He also had a perfect win-loss record of 7-0 and an earned run average (ERA) of 0.30. As an outfielder, he had a batting average of.469 over his career.
King received his diploma from Bishop Hendricken in 2013 and went on to enroll in Boston College, where he was a member of the Boston College Eagles baseball team throughout his time there.
During the summer of 2015, he was a member of the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League and participated in collegiate summer baseball.
