Michael Lorenzen Siblings: Meet Jonathan Lorenzen, Anthony Lorenzen and Matthew Lorenzen

 

It so happens that Michael Clifton Lorenzen is a well-known baseball player. He is an outfielder and pitcher who competes for the Los Angeles Angels. He is American. He played baseball for the school’s baseball team while attending Fullerton Union High School in Fullerton, California, where he graduated.

After that, Michael enrolled at California State University, where he joined the Titans’ collegiate baseball team. He was a nominee for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award in 2012 as well as an All-American. He has also participated in collegiate baseball for the national team of the United States.

He participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Brewster Whitecaps’ collegiate summer baseball program that same year. He was rated as the number 52 prospect by Baseball America and was thought to be one of the top prospects available for the 2013 MLB draft. He was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2013 amateur draft, and the Arizona League Reds were where he made his professional debut.

He participated in that season’s games for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Bakersfield Blaze, and Dayton Dragons. He was promoted by the Reds to the main leagues in 2015, and on April 29, 2015, when they played the Milwaukee Brewers, he made his MLB debut. In November 2021, he signed a $6.75 million one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels.

Michael Lorenzen has three brothers. They are Jonathan Lorenzen, who was a baseball player, Anthony Lorenzen and Matthew Lorenzen who also played college baseball at Cypress and Fullerton Colleges.
