Michael Lorenzen, the full name Michael Clifton Lorenzen is a professional baseball player from America known to play in the major leagues for the Los Angeles Angels. He serves as both a pitcher and outfielder. He played baseball non professionally at Fullerton Union High School located in Fullerton, California and at the California State University.
Before he graduated from the University, he was named an All-American and was also a finalist for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award. He was also selected to play in the United States national collegiate baseball team.
He played collegiate summer baseball with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was drafted in the 2013 MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He signed with them and played with the Arizona League Reds that season to begin his professional career.
He was also assigned to play for the Dayton Dragons, Bakersfield Blaze and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. During the 2015 season, he was with the Louisville Bats. He made his MLB debut on April 29 2015 for the Reds and in November 2021, he signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels.
