Michael Papierski plays professional baseball for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. He takes the position of a catcher and first baseman. He had his high school baseball career at Lemont High School.
After high school, he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 16th round of the 2014 MLB draft but he did not sign with them and chose to play college baseball at the Louisiana State University (LSU) for the LSU Tigers baseball team.
During the 2015 college baseball season, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League. When he graduated from the University, he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 9th round of the 2017 MLB draft.
He made his professional debut that year with the Tri-City ValleyCats of the New York–Penn League. He spent the following season with the Class A Quad Cities River Bandits. The Astros added him to their alternate training site roster for the Major League season.
The San Francisco Giants purchased his contract from the Astros in May 2022. He made his MLB debut for the Giants on May 21, 2022, after they promoted him to the major leagues. The Cincinnati Reds claimed him in June 2022 from San Francisco Giants.
