One of the professional football players recognized for playing nose tackle for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens is Michael Pierce. He is 154 kg and 1.83 m tall. He was raised in the American city of Daphne, Alabama. He was a student at Daphne High. He attended Tulane University after graduating and played collegiate football there for the Tulane Green Wave from 2011 to 2012.
He continued his college career with the Samford Bulldogs after transferring to Samford University in 2013. Pierce became an undrafted free agent and signed with the Baltimore Ravens in May 2016. He played in all 16 games as a rookie in 2016 and finished the year with 35 tackles, two sacks, and one defended pass.
He agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings on March 25, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, he declared in July 2020 that he would want to forego the 2020 season. He made a comeback in 2021 and started at defensive tackle. He started the first four contests before going down with an elbow injury in the fourth week.
Before being placed on injured reserve in November 2021, he missed the following four games. He became operational in December 2021. Pierce agreed to a three-year, $16.5 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens on March 17, 2022.
