Miguel Cabrera

Miguel Cabrera is a Venezuelan professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB).

At the age of 20, he made his Major League Baseball debut in the middle of 2003 and went on to help the Marlins win the World Series that year.

Prior to being sold to Detroit in late 2007, Cabrera spent four seasons as a regular Marlins player.

On his way to being named the American League’s Most Valuable Player that year, Cabrera won his first Triple Crown since 1967. He hit.330 with 44 home runs and 139 RBI to lead the AL that year.

With a.348 career batting average in 2013, Cabrera won the American League MVP award for the second time in his career.

On four occasions, including three consecutive years (2011–2013), Cabrera has won batting titles in the American League.

From 2004–to 2014, he has hit 30 or more home runs in 10 seasons, and he has racked up more than 100 runs in 12 of those seasons.
