Miguel Sanó

Miguel Sanó, real name Miguel Angel Jean Sanó, is one of the Minnesota Twins, professional baseball players. He represents the Twins at first base and third base and is from the Dominican Republic.

Miguel signed up with the Minnesota Twins as an unrestricted foreign free agent in September 2009. He received a $3.15 million signing bonus. For the 2011 baseball season, Baseball America ranked him as the third-best prospect in the Twins minor league system. He was given by the Twins to the Elizabethton Twins to play that year.

In the 2012 minor league season, he played with the Class-A Beloit Snappers of the Midwest League. His promotion to the New Britain Rock Cats of the Class AA Eastern League occurred in 2013. At the end of the season, MLB.com ranked him third overall and second in the Twins organization. 2014 saw him receive a pass to the Twins’ spring training.

He missed the 2014 season due to an injury and played the 2015 campaign with the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Class AA Southern League. After being promoted to the major leagues in 2015, he made his MLB debut on July 2, 2015, playing for the Twins. In that year, he received the American League (AL) Rookie of the Month award.
