Michael Ford is an experienced cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Ford attended Southeast Missouri State University, where he played college football for the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.

Mike Ford Pro Career

On April 28, 2018, Ford became a member of the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team.  After failing to make the cut for the team’s active roster coming out of training camp, the Lions re-signed him to the practice squad on September 2, 2018, so that he could continue playing for the team.

On November 14, 2018, Ford was moved up to the active roster for the Lions, which came about as a result of the offensive guard T. J. Lang being placed on injured reserve.

On November 18, 2018, Ford made his debut in the National Football League by starting at cornerback and participating on special teams in a 20–19 victory over the Carolina Panthers. He recorded two tackles throughout the game.

Ford had a total of 25 tackles in his rookie season, during which he appeared in seven games and started four of them.

Mike Ford Sr. and Tameca Bergman are the parents of Mike Ford. Ford’s dad who was a military officer died in a car crash in 1996 when Ford was only five months old.

Ford has stated that her mother instructed him on how to be a man while also instructing him on how to be a nice person.

Ford was introduced to football by her mom, who quickly signed him up after observing how much he enjoyed playing the sport at a family reunion.

Bergman was never absent from the stands to show her support for her son at any stage of his endeavors
