Defensive end with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League, Mike Love plays football. He was born in Tampa, Florida, in the United States, on January 22, 1994. Love, who was a standout defensive end for the Cougars while playing football at Countryside High School and was regarded as a three-star prospect by multiple recruiting services, was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida.
After high school, he rejected offers from schools like Arizona, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, and West Virginia in favor of enrolling at the University of South Florida (USF). He participated in collegiate football for the University’s South Florida Bulls team.
In 2016 he earned a bachelor’s in criminology from USF, and in 2018 he earned a master’s in entrepreneurship. Love joined the Buffalo Bills on April 28 as an undrafted free agent. At the conclusion of training camp, the team released him, and on September 2, 2018, they re-signed him to their practice squad.
In December 2018, he was elevated from the Bills’ practice squad to the active roster. On December 16, 2018, he played in his first NFL game, a 14-13 victory over the Detroit Lions, and he made one tackle. was released by the Bills in September 2020 and signed the next day to the practice squad. He agreed to a reserve/future deal with the Bills on January 24, 2022, following their loss to the Patriots in the Divisional Round of the 2021 Playoffs.
