Mike Love is a defensive end with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He was created on January 22, 1994, in Tampa, Florida, in the United States. Love played football for the Cougars as a standout defensive end during his time at Countryside High School. Love was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. Numerous recruiting firms gave Love a three-star rating as a potential employee.
After graduating from high school, he declined admission offers from schools like Arizona, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, and West Virginia in favor of enrolling at the University of South Florida (USF). He participated in college football with the University’s South Florida Bulls.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from USF in 2016 and a master’s degree in business in 2018. Love joined the Buffalo Bills on April 28 as an undrafted free agent. On September 2, 2018, the team re-signed him to their practice squad after releasing him after training camp.
In December 2018, he was elevated from the Bills’ practice squad to the active roster. In his first NFL game, a 14-13 victory over the Detroit Lions on December 16, 2018, he made one tackle. He was released by the Bills in September 2020, and the next day he was added to the practice squad.
