Mike Love participates in American football as a defensive end for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. He is 116 kg and 1.91 m tall. He was a student at Countryside High. He was a standout defensive end for the Cougars and was considered a three-star prospect by many recruiting agencies, but his academic issues caused him to lose the interest of many prestigious colleges.

Despite receiving offers from schools like Arizona, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, and West Virginia, he ultimately decided to play collegiate football for the nearby University of South Florida (USF). He participated in collegiate football for the University’s South Florida Bulls team.

With 64 tackles, 18.5 for a loss, 8.5 sacks, and one forced fumble over the course of 32 games, he had a successful collegiate career. He earned a criminology bachelor’s degree in 2016 and an enterprise master’s degree in 2018. April 2018 saw his undrafted free agent signing with the Buffalo Bills. In September 2018, he was re-signed to the team’s practice squad after being released by the team at the conclusion of training camp.
