Mike Love plays football as a defensive end for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. On January 22, 1994, he was born in Tampa, Florida, in the United States. Love was raised in Clearwater, Florida, and excelled as a defensive end for the Cougars while playing football at Countryside High School. Love was rated as a three-star prospect by numerous recruiting services.
He chose to enroll in the University of South Florida after high school, turning down offers from institutions such as Arizona, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, and West Virginia (USF). He played collegiate football with the South Florida Bulls of the University.
He graduated from USF with a bachelor’s in criminology in 2016 and a master’s in entrepreneurship in 2018. Love signed on with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on April 28. The team dismissed him following training camp, and on September 2, 2018, they re-signed him to their practice squad.
He was promoted from the Bills’ practice squad to the active roster in December 2018. He made one tackle in his first NFL game on December 16, 2018, a 14-13 victory over the Detroit Lions. was cut by the Bills in September 2020, and the following day he was signed to the practice squad. On January 24, 2022, the day after the Bills’ Divisional Round playoff loss to the Patriots, he signed a reserve/future contract with the team.
