Mitch Garver is an American professional baseball catcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Minnesota Twins.

On the 15th of January 1991, Mitch was born in Albuquerque, N.M. At La Cueva High School, he was a proud member of the Albuquerque Bulldogs football team. He was a catcher for the school baseball team in his younger years.

The high school soccer team’s center back was also a baseball player. In order to continue his soccer career, his coach recommended that he move to the United Kingdom.

In the end, Mitch turned down the opportunity because he preferred playing baseball. When the soccer team won the state championship in 2008, Garver was an integral part of the squad’s success.

Throughout 2009, Mitch was recognized as Albuquerque Public Schools’ Male Athlete of the Year. As a senior, he hit for a high average of .521 with ten home runs.
