Mitch Keller is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB).

After graduating from Cedar Rapids, Iowa’s Xavier High School, Keller was selected in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

On June 14, 2014, he signed with the Pirates for a $1,000,000 signing bonus. In the past, he had agreed to play baseball for the North Carolina Tar Heels in the college ranks.

For the whole 2014 season, Keller pitched in the Gulf Coast League Pirates, posting a 1.98 ERA in 27+1/3 innings of work.

Keller made six starts for the Bristol Pirates in 2015, going 0-3 with a 5.49 ERA. He made 23 appearances with the West Virginia Power in 2016, going 8–5 with a 2.46 ERA.

At the end of the season, he also pitched for the Bradenton Marauders in a game.

Bradenton was Keller’s season opener in 2017. His season ended with a 2–2 record and 3.12 ERA in six starts with the Altoona Curve after going 6–3 with a 3.14 ERA in 15 appearances.

Keller is Pittsburgh’s #1 prospect for the 2018 season, according to MLB.com.

In the middle of the season, he was promoted from Altoona to the Indianapolis Indians. During the season, he also pitched in one Bradenton game.
