When he graduated, he was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round, with the 49th overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. That year, he was chosen for the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

He had a foot injury once more in Week 14, and on December 15, 2017, he was put on injured reserve. Morse and the Bills agreed to a two-year, $19.5 million contract extension on March 14, 2022.
