MyCole Pruitt Parents: Meet Carlos Pruitt and Colette Bonds

MyCole Pruitt is a tight end who plays American football for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He is 1.88 meters tall and 111 kilograms. In high school, he played football at Kirkwood High School. He was an All-Conference defensive end three times and a first-team tight end in 2009.

He played collegiate football for the Southern Illinois Salukis from 2010 through 2014 at Southern Illinois University. In the week leading up to the Quincy game, SIU named him the Offensive Scout Player of the Week for his redshirt season in 2010. He received FCS All-American honors both as a junior and a senior.

He set tight end career records for receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns during his time at SIU in college football. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from the university in December 2014. The Minnesota Vikings chose Pruitt in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was signed by the Tennessee Titans in September 2018.

He signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers in June 2021. His release took place on August 31, 2021. He inked a contract with the Atlanta Falcons on August 8, 2022. On August 30, he was cut and later re-signed to the practice squad. He was added to the active roster on October 15, 2022, in time for the week six matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
