American football running back Myles Gaskin plays for the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins. In Lynnwood, Washington in the United States, he was born on February 15, 1997. His height is 1.78 m. His basketball coach noticed his agility while he was a member of the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club. Later, he went to Seattle, Washington’s O’Dea High School.
He ran for 2,182 yards and 35 touchdowns as a junior, and 1,567 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior. He enrolled at the University of Washington after high school to play collegiate football for the Washington Huskies. The Miami Dolphins selected Gaskin in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, making him the second of 25 running backs selected by the Dolphins. In Miami’s 2021 season, he started the majority of the games, but only carried the ball five times or less in six of them.
His 846 yards from scrimmage were second only to Jaylen Waddle on the 9-8 club, but the Dolphins struggled to an NFL-second-worst 3.5 yards per carry while splitting carries with Duke Johnson. Bright spots included 89 yards rushing with a receiving touchdown in a Week 15 win against the New York Jets and 10 catches for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns in a Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
