Myles Gaskin is a running back for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was born on February 15, 1997, in Lynnwood, Washington, in the United States. He is 1.78 meters tall. He was a member of the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club when his basketball coach first noticed his agility. Later, he attended O’Dea High School in Seattle, Washington.
He rushed for 1,567 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior after racking up 2,182 yards and 35 in his junior season. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Washington to play NCAA football for the Huskies. Gaskin was chosen by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, earning him the team’s second selection out of 25 running backs. He started the majority of Miami’s 2021 games, but in only six of them did he carry the ball five times or less.
Jaylen Waddle was his closest competitor for second place on the 9-8 team with 846 yards from scrimmage, but the Dolphins labored to an NFL-second-worst 3.5 yards per rush as he shared the load with Duke Johnson. A win against the New York Jets in Week 15 and 10 catches for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns in a defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5 were also notable high points.
