Myles James Noble Straw is an American professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball. He was born on October 17, 1994, in Cleveland, Ohio.



The Houston Astros selected him in the 12th round of the 2015 Main League Baseball draft, and he made his first appearance in the major leagues with the Astros in 2018.



Straw received his high school education from Braden River High School in Bradenton, Florida, and went on to play baseball for St. Johns River State Collegiate during his college career.

During the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, Straw was selected by the Houston Astros in the 12th round of the draft. During the years 2016 and 2017,

he was a member of the Greeneville Astros, the Corpus Christi Hooks, and the Quad Cities River Bandits.

In 2018, he was elevated to the Fresno Grizzlies, and on September 15, 2018, he made his Major League Baseball debut. Straw blasted his first career home run in the Major Leagues on September 29, 2018, and it came against the starting pitcher Yefry Ramirez.

On July 30, 2021, Straw was included in a deal that sent Phil Maton and Yainer Diaz to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for Straw.

Straw’s 2021 campaign for Straw ended with him hitting. The Astros and Indians combined for a batting line of 271/.349/.348 with 4 home runs,

48 RBIs and 30 stolen bases. On April 9, 2022, Straw extended his contract with the Guardians for a further 5 years and $25 million.
