Nate Gerry is a linebacker with the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. He is 1.88 meters tall and 104 kilograms in weight. He went to Washington High School, where in his senior year he made 64 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 8 pass breakups, 5 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles. He participated in collegiate football for the University of Nebraska’s Nebraska Cornhuskers squad.

He made 32 tackles in his first year, including 18 stops. In his second season, he shifted positions from linebacker to safety, made every start, led the Huskers with five interceptions, and finished second on the squad in tackles. He led the Huskers with 79 tackles and 4 interceptions in 2015, starting every game.

In the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Gerry with the 184th overall pick. Super Bowl LII was won by him and the Eagles in February 2018. The Eagles deactivated him in July 2020, after which they added him to the reserve/COVID-19 list. In March 2021, he reached an agreement with the San Francisco 49ers for a single season. He signed back up for the practice squad on September 8, 2021. His release took place on November 2, 2021.
