Nick Folk

As the placekicker for the New England Patriots of the NFL, Nicholas Alexander Folk, also known as Nick Folk, is a professional football player. He is 101 kg and 1.85 m tall. He participated in football for the school’s football squad while attending Notre Dame High School. He was recognized “All-CIF” as a senior punter and second-team placekicker.

Folk joined the Arizona Wildcats football team as a college player after accepting a football scholarship from the University of Arizona. As a senior, he was named All-Pac-10. After kicking 96 punts for 4,242 yards and making 79 of 81 extra points, he completed his college career. At Arizona, he majored in marketing.

During the 2007 NFL Draft’s sixth round, the Dallas Cowboys made him their selection. He committed to the New York Jets for a single season in February of that year. The Jets extended his contract in March 2011. He had 21 field goal attempts that he successfully converted for the 2012 season. He was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2017 after going unsigned.

He left the Buccaneers in February 2018 for another team. The New England Patriots acquired him in October of this year. His performance in the Patriots’ 25-22 victory over the Houston Texans earned him the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honor in October 2021. On a two-year, $5 million contract, he re-signed with the Patriots in March 2022.
