Nick Folk Siblings: Meet Erik Folk and Gregory Folk

Nick Folk, also known as Nicholas Alexander Folk, is an NFL placekicker for the New England Patriots. He stands 1.85 m tall and weighs 101 kg. He played football for the school’s football team while a student at Notre Dame High School. He was recognized as “All-CIF” as a senior punter and second-team placekicker.

Folk got a football scholarship from the University of Arizona and participated in collegiate football there for the Arizona Wildcats football team. He was named All-Pac-10 as a senior. He completed his college career by making 30 of 47 field goals, 79 of 81 extra points, and 96 punts for 4,242 yards. He majored in marketing at Arizona.

He was chosen in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He committed to the New York Jets in February of that year, signing a one-year deal. He was re-signed by the Jets in March 2011. He made 21 of his 27 field goal attempts in the 2012 season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him as a free agent in March 2017.

He was released by the Buccaneers in February 2018. He was signed by the New England Patriots in October 2019. He was honored as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week in October 2021 for his contribution to the Patriots’ 25-22 victory over the Houston Texans. In March 2022, he re-signed with the Patriots for a two-year, $5 million contract.
