Nick Martin Parents: Meet Pam Martin and Keith Martin

Nick Martin

Veteran linebacker Nick Martin is in his seventh season in the National Football League. Martin was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He signed a rookie contract worth $4.77 million and played five seasons with the team.

Martin has been a player for four different NFL clubs, including the Houston Texans, during his career. He started his career with the New Houston Texans in 2016 and then moved on to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, and New Orleans Saints in 2022. He is currently playing for the Washington Football Team / Commanders.

Before going pro, Martin started playing football at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He aided Bishop Chatard in winning the 2010 Class 3A state championship as a senior in Indiana. He was selected as an offensive lineman for the Associated Press Class 3A first-team Indiana all-state team.

He was ranked as the 68th-best offensive lineman prospect of his class and given three stars by Rivals.com, which also rates recruits.

After a successful high school career, Martin enrolled at the University of Notre Dame and played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish between 2011–2015.

Martin spent the first two years of his career as a reserve player, but in 2013, he earned a starting position on the offensive line, playing with his brother Zack.

Martin started the first 11 games of the season before suffering a knee injury that ended his season against BYU. Martin came back in 2014, and as soon as he did, he was made captain of the club.
