Oswaldo Alberto Cabrera is a Venezuelan professional baseball shortstop for the New York Yankees. He was born on March 1, 1999.
Cabrera was born in the Venezuelan state of Guarenas. When he was 16 years old, he signed with the Yankees as a free agent. Following the 2021 season, Cabrera was awarded the most valuable player in Double-A Northeast.
He was added to the Yankees’ 40-man roster, keeping him out of the Rule 5 draft. For the 2022 season, the Yankees optioned Cabrera to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
