Paolo Espino is a professional baseball player whose full name is Paolo Alessandro Espino Alonso. He was born in Panama but grew up in Florida and had his baseball career in Florida. Paolo plays as a pitcher for the Washington Nationals baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).

Paolo had his high school amateur baseball career at the Pendleton School in Bradenton, Florida. He was drafted out of high school by the Cleveland Indians in the 10th round of the 2006 MLB draft. He made his professional debut in 2007 after he was assigned to play with the Single-A Lake County Captains.

The Indians assigned him to play for both the Lake County and the advanced Single-A Kinston Indians in 2008. He spent the 2009 season with Lake County, Kingston and the Double-A Akron Aeros. During the 2010 minor league season, he played mostly for the Akron and a little bit for the Triple-A Columbus Clippers.

After spending 7 years with the Indians, he elected free agency and signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs in November 2014. In April the following year, he left the Cubs and signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals. The Nationals invited him to Spring Training in 2016.

Paolo signed a minor league contract in November 2016 with the Milwaukee Brewers. He made his MLB debut for the Brewers on May 19, 2017, when they played versus the Chicago Cubs.
