Patrick Alan Corbin is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball. Corbin was born on July 19, 1989, in the United States.
Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 2019, he led the Nationals to victory in the World Series.
During the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim selected Patrick Corbin in the second round of the draft.
In 2010, he was included as part of a package that was sent to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Dan Haren. Corbin made his first appearance in Major League Baseball in 2012 and was selected as an All-Star that same year.
Because of an injury to the ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow, he was sidelined for the entirety of the 2014 season. After making his way back into the rotation in 2017, he was given the starting position on Opening Day in 2018.
