He went to the University of Maine after high school and was a defensive lineman for the Maine Black Bears from 2013 to 2016. He received a redshirt in 2012. At the University of Maine, he declared economics as his major. The Baltimore Ravens acquired him as an undrafted free agent in May 2017. He sustained a knee injury in January 2022, at which point he was put on injured reserve. Ricard and the Ravens agreed to a three-year contract extension in March 2022.
