Payton Anthony Henry is a Major League Baseball catcher who currently plays for the Miami Marlins. Henry made his debut for the Marlins in 2021.

Henry was a student at Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Henry initially agreed to play college baseball at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas but he dropped out during his junior year and transferred to Brigham Young University.

Henry hit.527 with nine home runs as a junior in 2015, earning him the title of Utah’s Gatorade Player of the Year. He pitched to a 2.91 ERA and hit.519 in his senior year, which helped him win Utah Gatorade Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive year.



He was chosen by the Milwaukee Brewers in the sixth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft after the season. The Brewers paid an amount of  $550,000 for his signature.

After signing with the Rookie-level Arizona League Brewers, Henry made his professional debut, hitting.256 with 17 RBIs in 24 games.

In 2017, Henry batted for the Helena Brewers of the Rookie-level Pioneer League.
