Phil Maton Children: Does Phil Maton Have Any Kids?

Phil Maton pitched in 23 games during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, but his numbers were nearly identical to his first two seasons with the Padres: few decisions, a 4.57 ERA, and a higher-than-average strikeout percentage.

That year, he made his first playoff appearance, pitching 3 1/3 innings in two games as the Indians were swept by the New York Yankees in the Wild Card Series.

In 2021, he was pitching well – 2-0, 4.57 in 38 games – when he was sent to the Houston Astros on July 30th in one of the year’s less-publicized trade deadline trades.

The most noteworthy aspect was that the Astros had traded their primary center fielder, youngster Myles Straw, in order to obtain a relief pitcher for their championship run (the Indians also gave up a low-level prospect in Yainer Diaz).

In 27 games for Houston, he went 4-0, 4.97 for a total of 6-0, 4.73 in a career-high 65 games. He struck out 85 batters in 66 2/3 innings, demonstrating some decent stuff despite a higher-than-desirable ERA.

He pitched in 12 games across three rounds of the postseason, including five of the six games in the World Series against the Atlanta Braves.

He didn’t get a decision, but he pitched exceptionally effectively, allowing only one run in 12 1/3 innings.

Does Phil Maton Have Any Kids?

Phil Maton does not have any kids as of now. Since they got married, Phil Maton’s wife has never been reported to be pregnant or given birth.

The couple is still having a good time together before they start a family. We have yet to witness the birth of a little Phil or Katelynn that makes news.
