Guard Quinn Meinerz plays American football for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. As of this season, the 15th of November, 1998-born players have been with the squad.
During his time at UW–Whitewater, he was a football player. Meinerz grew up in Hartford, Wisconsin, where he attended and graduated from Hartford Union High School and participated in several sports,
including football, track and field, and wrestling. Like the rest of us, he graduated from Hartford Union High School.
He was a standout senior who was named honourable mention All-State on both the offensive and defensive lines.
To play college football, Meinerz chose Wisconsin-Whitewater, a Division III school, over St. Cloud State and Wisconsin-La Crosse.
As a rookie, Meinerz played in just two games before becoming a regular starter and earning first-team All-WIAC honors as a sophomore.
That was the year the WIAC recognized his achievements with an award (WIAC). Meinerz was named a Division III All-American by the Western Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and the Associated Press.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the 2020 football season for NCAA Division III was cancelled, thus he spent the year training at his family’s hunting and a fishing cabin in Ontario.
Meinerz played in the Senior Bowl that year (2021). The Denver Broncos selected Meinerz with the 98th overall choice in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
His draft position was the highest of any college football player at his school, and he was the first player drafted from his school since 2007.
In his rookie year with the Broncos, Meinerz played in 15 of 17 games and started all five games following Week 9.
