Raheem attended Archbishop Catholic High School in Philadelphia. Beginning in junior high school, he devoted himself to American soccer.

His mentor at his secondary school, Steve Devlin, supported him in 2016 in leading the Vikings to an 11-2 record and PIAA Class AAAAA provincial championship.

In 2021, Raheem earned his certifications in legal science with a 3.8 GPA. From that point on, he focused more on college soccer.

As a competitor, the Pennsylvania Soccer Writers honored him as a First-team 5A All-State selection. He was also a prep teammate of current Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts.

In his second college game, he ran 14 times for 102 yards and a career-high three touchdowns against Morgan State. In 2017, football player Blackshear was also named to the All-Freshman team for the Big Ten Conference. In addition, he was chosen to the Educational All-Big Ten Staff.
