For the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles, Reed Blankenship plays professional football safety. He is 1.85 m tall and 92 kg in weight. He played football while attending West Limestone High School. He was chosen for football’s all-state, all-region, all-county, and all-area teams in 2016, and he won Player of the Year honors.

His career included 3,192 rushing yards, 1,004 receiving yards, 1,056 passing yards, and 46 total touchdowns. He served as the team’s captain for two seasons. After high school, he was given scholarship offers from several colleges, but he decided to attend Middle Tennessee State University instead, where he played college football for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football team.

He took part in 13 games in 2017, nine of which he started. He started 12 of the 13 games he participated in as a sophomore in 2018, finished with a team-high and career-high 107 tackles, four interceptions, and seven passes defended. He participated in all 13 games, starting each one, and had 110 tackles in 2019, which was the most on the squad.

Blankenship was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He placed eighth nationally in solo tackles per game and third in the nation in fumble recoveries with three. He made his NFL debut in week five against the Arizona Cardinals, helping the team to a 20-17 victory with two tackles.
