Riley Chun-Young O’Brien, simply called Riley O’Brien happens to be one of the professional baseball pitchers with the Seattle Mariners baseball team of Major League Baseball(MLB). Riley was born on February 6, 1995, in Seattle, Washington in the United States of America.
He had his high school career playing baseball at Shorewood High School in Shoreline, Washington. After high school in 2013, he got admitted into Everett Community College where he played college baseball for two seasons. He then got transferred to the College of Idaho where he spent the rest of his college years playing college baseball for the school.
The Tampa Bay Rays drafted him in the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with the Rays and made his professional debut that year playing with the Princeton Rays of the Advanced Rookie Appalachian League.
In August 2020, the Rays traded him to the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds added him to their 40-man roster in November 2020. He made his MLB debut in September 2021 with the Reds when they played against the Chicago White Sox baseball team. In April 2022, the Reds traded his contract to the Seattle Mariners and he has been with the Mariners to date.
