Robert William Stephenson is a well-known professional baseball player in the USA. He plays as a pitcher for the Colorado Rockies baseball team of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is 1.91 m tall and weighs 93 kg.

After high school, he had wanted to play college baseball for the Washington Huskies baseball team at the University of Washington but he chose to sign with the Cincinnati Reds when they drafted him in the first round of the 2011 MLB draft. He signed with the Reds for a $2 million signing bonus.

He began his professional career in 2012 with the Billings Mustangs of the Rookie-level Pioneer League. He was promoted during the season to play for the Dayton Dragons of the Class A Midwest League. In the 2013 minor league season, he played for the Dayton Dragons and was promoted to the Bakersfield Blaze of the Class A-Advanced California League.

In the 2015 minor league season, he was invited again to the Red’s spring training. He made it to the Red’s 40-man roster after the season and was promoted to the major leagues in 2016. He made his MLB debut on April 7, 2016, for the Cincinnati Reds. He was traded to the Colorado Rockies in November 2020 and has been playing for the Rockies to date.
