Rodney Hudson, a center with the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League, was born on July 12, 1989. He was a two-time All-American football player at Florida State University.
He was picked in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He also participated with the Raiders of Las Vegas. In Alabama’s Mobile, Hudson was born. While attending B. C. Rain High School in Mobile, he played as a two-way lineman for the Raiders high school football team.
Hudson was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 55th overall choice in the second round. Since the Seminoles selected their highest-ranked offensive lineman in Alex Barron, who the St. Louis Rams selected with the 19th overall pick in 2005.
He signed a four-year, $3.50 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on July 29, 2011, with a signing bonus of $104,892. The Oakland Raiders signed Hudson to a five-year, $44.5 million deal with $20 million guaranteed on March 11, 2015. He started 13 games and only surrendered eight pressures during his rookie season with the Raiders.
He was selected to play center for the Cardinals on opening day in 2021. He was placed on injured reserve on October 16 because of rib and shoulder problems. He started working on November 6.
