Ryan Jeffers is an American professional baseball catcher for the Minnesota Twins. He was born on the 3rd of June, 1997.

Jeffers attended Sanderson High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, for his post-secondary education. In his senior year of 2016, he batted.398 with two home runs and was a two-year letter winner at the plate.

He enrolled to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and sought to walk on to the baseball club after being left out of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.



In his first season with UNCW, Jeffers hit.348 with one home run and five RBIs in just 13 games.

In the summer of that year, he played baseball with the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League.

As a sophomore, he was named first-team All-CAA after hitting.328 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs in 52 of the 53 games he played in.

He was also named to the CAA Academic All-Star squad. He then went on to play for the New England Collegiate Baseball League’s Upper Valley Nighthawks, where he was awarded an All-Star.

Jeffers won the first Team All-CAA accolades for the second year in a row after hitting.315,.460, and .635 with 16 home runs and 59 RBIs during his junior season at UNCW in 2018.
