Professional baseball player Ryan Michael Jeffers, also known as Ryan Jeffers, is a part of the Minnesota Twins organization. He serves as the Twins’ catcher. He stands 1.93 meters tall.
While attending Sanderson High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, Ryan participated in baseball. He attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and played baseball for the team after graduating from high school because he was not selected for the draft. He was a member of the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League.
He also participated in baseball with the New England Collegiate Baseball League’s Upper Valley Nighthawks, where he was chosen as an All-Star. The Minnesota Twins selected him in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He joined the Twins, started his professional career with the Elizabethton Twins, and was later moved up to the Cedar Rapids Kernels for the remainder of the season.
He played the 2019 minor league season with the Fort Myers Miracle, where he was selected as a Florida State League All-Star, before being promoted to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. In August 2020, he was promoted to the major leagues and added to the Twins’ active roster. On August 20, 2020, he made his MLB debut.
