Ryan James Vilade, an American outfielder, competes for the Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball.

He spent his freshman, sophomore, and junior years at Frisco High School. He competed in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game in July 2016 at Wrigley Field after his junior year, winning the Home Run Derby with 18 home runs.

That fall, he participated in the 18U American national team. He committed to playing baseball for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in college.
The Colorado Rockies selected Vilade with the 48th overall choice in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2017 receiving a signing bonus of $1.4 million.

Following his signing, he made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Pioneer League’s Grand Junction Rockies. In his first at-bat, he blasted a home run, earning him a spot in the All-Star game and he played 33 games for Grand Junction during the entire season.

Vilade’s contract was chosen by Colorado on September 18, 2021, and he was added to the active roster so that he could play his first game in Major League Baseball that night at Nationals Park against the Washington Nationals.

Vilade started the 2022 campaign with the Isotopes in the minor leagues.
