Sam Eguavoen Parents: Meet Esosa Eguavoen and Patience Eguavoen

Sam Eguavoen is an American football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas Tech.

Eguavoen participated in high school football at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas. During his senior season, he had a total of 118 tackles, four sacks, one interception, two pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

He was honored as a member of the Second Team for District 10-5A. Both Rivals.com and ESPN.com ranked him as a three-star talent for the future.



In high school, Eguavoen was a member of the Lakeview Centennial basketball team.

Between the years 2011 and 2014, Eguavoen was a member of the Texas Tech University team known as the Red Raiders.

During his first year as a college football player in 2011, he started five of the twelve games he participated in and finished with a total of 30 tackles. For his efforts, Rivals.com selected him to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team Defense.
