Sam Haggerty, born Samuel Onofrio Haggerty, is a baseball infielder in the major leagues. He plays for the Seattle Mariners in baseball. He receives a $700,000 yearly salary from the Mariners.

Haggerty played high school baseball for Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from high school, he played baseball for the Lobos at the University of New Mexico. In his first season, he was selected for the Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American team and recognized as the co-Freshman of the Year by the Mountain West Conference.

He played summer baseball for the college team Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the 2014 Cape Cod Baseball League. He was chosen by the Cleveland Indians in the 24th round of the 2015 MLB Draft. In the same year that he signed with the Indians, he made his professional debut with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

In 2016, he took part with the Lake County Captains. In 2017, he was a member of the Lynchburg Hill Cats, and in 2018, he was a member of the Akron RubberDucks and Columbus Clippers. In January 2019, he was exchanged for the New York Mets. He made his Mets debut that season while playing for the Brooklyn Cyclones, Binghamton Rumble Ponies, and Syracuse Mets.

In September 2019, the Mets selected his contract and elevated him to the major leagues. He made his Major League Baseball debut against the Washington Nationals on September 4, 2019, for the Mets. He was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners in January 2020.
