Sam Hilliard is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Hilliard earned his high school diploma from Mansfield High School, located in Mansfield, Texas. After getting his start playing baseball at Navarro College, he moved on to Crowder College to continue his collegiate career.

After graduating from Crowder High School, the Minnesota Twins selected him in the 31st round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. However, he did not sign with the team and instead enrolled at Wichita State University.

During his time in college, Hilliard played on both the outfield and the pitching staff. After spending one-year playing college baseball at Wichita State, he was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 15th round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2015 and signed by the team.

Hilliard made his debut in the major leagues with the Grand Junction Rockies. He then played for the Asheville Tourists in 2016, the Lancaster JetHawks in 2017, and the Hartford Yard Goats this year.
