Samuel John Moll is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball. Moll was born on January 3, 1992, in the United States (MLB).
Moll was chosen by the Colorado Rockies in the third round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2013. He made his MLB debut in 2017.
Moll received their secondary education in Cordova, Tennessee at St. Benedict’s at Auburndale High School. He attended the University of Memphis and was a member of the Memphis Tigers baseball team during his time there.
During the summer of 2012, he was a member of the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he played college baseball.
In the third round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, Moll was selected by the Colorado Rockies to join their organization. In 2013, he made his debut in the major leagues with the Tri-City Dust Devils at the Low-A level.
Moll spent the entire 2016 season playing with the Albuquerque Isotopes at the Triple-A level. In August of 2017, he was sent to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for a player who would be announced later or monetary considerations.
