Sam Moll is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Colorado Rockies selected Moll in the third round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2017.

In Cordova, Tennessee, Moll graduated from Auburndale High School, where she studied St. Benedict. He attended the University of Memphis, where he played college baseball for the Memphis Tigers and earned a degree in business administration.

He participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Brewster Whitecaps as a collegiate amateur baseball player in 2012. Moll was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft in the third round.

In 30 innings pitched with the Low-A Tri-City Dust Devils, he had a 1.80 earned run average in his professional debut. Moll threw a no-hitter in July with the help of three other pitchers.

Because of injuries, he returned to Tri-City for the 2014 season and appeared in nine games. With Modesto Nuts and New Britain Rock Cats, he compiled a 2.63 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 68.1 innings of work between the two minor league teams in 2015.

He played in the Arizona Fall League after the regular season. While in Triple-A Albuquerque, Moll compiled a record of 3–5 and an ERA of 4.94 during the year.

After the season, the Rockies added him to their 40-man roster. On August 11, 2017, Moll was designated for assignment by Albuquerque.
