American professional baseball pitcher Samuel John Moll, born January 3, 1992, currently pitches for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) (MLB).
Moll was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the third round of the 2013 MLB draft. In 2017 he made his MLB debut. In the third round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, Moll was selected by the Colorado Rockies to join their organization.
In 2013, he made his debut in the major leagues with the Tri-City Dust Devils at the Low-A level. Moll spent the entire 2016 season playing with the Albuquerque Isotopes at the Triple-A level.
In August of 2017, he was sent to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for a player who would be announced later or monetary considerations.
Moll was picked by the San Francisco Giants in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft. He was assigned to the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels to open the 2019 season, and also pitched for the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats.
Between the two clubs in 2019, he went 2-2 with 2 saves and a 2.39 ERA in 41 bullpen appearances totalling 49 innings. Moll signed a minor league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization for the 2020 season.
In 2021, Moll dealt with the Oakland Athletics organization for monetary considerations.
