Sandro Platzgummer Contract, Salary and Net Worth

Running back Sandro Platzgummer, who participated in the NFL’s International Player Pathway program by serving on the New York Giants’ practice squad during the 2020 and 2021 seasons, has been re-signed by the team, according to an announcement made by the New York Giants.

As part of the scheme, the Giants have been selected as one of four teams that will be allowed to carry an additional overseas player on their practice squad in 2020. Even though he has not yet played in a game during the regular season, he did stop a run of 48 yards for the Jets in the preseason game they played the year before.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds and had a vertical leap of 39 inches, which was enough to persuade Giants running backs coach Burton Burns of Platzgummer’s importance to the team.

During his five seasons as the Swarco Raiders’ starting running back (2015–2019), the 6′, 198-pound Platzgummer from Innsbruck, Austria, contributed to the team’s four Austrian championships in that span, including a perfect season in which it won both the Austrian championship and the European club championship.

Additionally, he was a pivotal member of the Austrian national team, which finished in second place overall at the 2018 European Championships. Before then, he was a staple on the Austrian national under-19 squad as well as the senior team.
